FLOATING YOGA | Beginner/Basic: New to yoga? New to the water? New to both? Don't worry! We were beginners once, too! Floating Yoga is designed for newbies looking for a little adventure but not quite ready to dive deep. This beginner/basic SUP Yoga class is perfect for those with little to no yoga or paddle boarding experience. Our seasoned SUPY teacher will first teach SUP and Yoga FUNdamentals on land before taking our skills into the water. Once on the board, we will take time getting comfortable with the newly acquired paddle skills, then anchor close to shore as we create our own “floating yoga studio.” Here, you will enjoy a basic, condensed yoga flow that helps to strengthen the muscles used in SUP. End your yoga practice with a delightful rest and meditation. SUP Yoga helps to build core strength, balance, and integration while cultivating awareness of the true present moment.
SUP YOGA | Open/Experienced: This class is for open/experienced practitioners with a basic understanding of paddle boarding. On land, our seasoned SUPY teacher will briefly review the fundamentals of paddleboarding and water safety, then we will warm up our muscles with a paddle to a pristine "floating yoga studio" in the Intracoastal Waterways of Wrightsville Beach. Surrounded by the seascape, we will flow through a complete yoga practice.
