Ready to dance barefoot on the sands of Carolina Beach to the Beach Music Beat? Hosted by the Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce, the 37th Annual Carolina Beach Music Festival is billed as "the biggest and only beach music festival actually held on the beach on the North Carolina coast" and one of the longest running beach music festivals in the United States. Come out Saturday, June 3rd and shag all day with the hottest beach music bands in the South!  Live music starts at 11am with Jim Quick and Coastline, The Band of Oz and CAT5. You can access this festival via the Carolina Beach Boardwalk. 

Now in its 37th year, the Carolina Beach Music Festival brings with it seeds of history that began eight decades ago. Back in the 1940’s, just over the bridge from Carolina Beach, was a community known as Seabreeze, the legendary and rightful birthplace of “beach music” - the genesis of a sound that transformed the musical soundscape of the south.

We have an entire weekend of festivities planned, including a kick-off concert at The SeaWitch on Friday night (June 2nd) with The Tams. On Saturday, June 3rd, we'll have the entire boardwalk concert on the sands of Carolina Beach with Cat5live, Jim Quick & Coastline and Band Of Oz (from 11am-4pm) and that night at The Lazy Pirate they'll have a free show with Gary Lowder and Smokin' Hot! Then to close out the festival on Sunday, we'll have a very special brunch at Havannas followed by a free Shag contest at Lazy Pirate starting at 2pm!
