Enjoy the sound and ocean views, the smell of salt air, and a celebration of fun and fitness at the Surf City Fitness Race to the Coast 5K on Saturday, May 13th at 8 am. Hosted by Surf City Fitness and Benefitting Surf City Ocean Rescue
This 5k is tailor fitted for MOM'S as the event falls on Mother's Day weekend. Every mother gets to feel special and is gifted with a flower at the finish line made possible by Surf City Florist. Mom's have the opportunity to run with their kids in a special division of mother/child teams. This year by partnering with Salty Turtle mom's crossing the finish line will have a free "Mimosa for Mom."
Although this event happens to land on Mother's Day weekend, it is open to all participants. The 5k is formatted like a traditional race with the normal divisions. The race is located in Surf City, North Carolina. It ends and begins at Soundside Park, 517 Roland Ave, Surf City, NC 28455.
After the race will be a Post Race Party featuring a Beer Garden by Salty Turtle Beer Company, local vendors that will also target last minute gifts for mom, Food Trucks, live music, and fun for the kids to include a bounce house, petting zoo (bunnies), horse rides, and ofcourse face-painting.

This event is nonprofit and all proceeds go to benefit the Surf City Ocean Rescue Program.
